Sona Weaver is a fine jewelry collection founded by Nina Collins in 2017. While studying yoga in India, Nina was captivated by regional textiles and lived with families of weavers to learn about their traditions and craft. Through these contacts she discovered another rich world of cultural expression: jewelry. (Sona means ‘gold’ in Sanskrit.) An Angeleno and global traveler with an artist’s eye, Nina sources her materials from around the world. She designs and collects pieces for Sona Weaver that are bold and quiet, intricate and simple, classic and contemporary, attention-grabbing and subtly confident—something to enhance any mood. She is inspired by everything from midcentury architecture to her hose-chewing bulldog, Bogie.
